Troubleshooting Help! - A/C Problems

For some reason, when i turn on my air conditioning, it will turn on for a split second, and then not work at all. It sometimes kicks back in later, but if im to adjust the speed of the fan, it most likely will die out again. It also interferes with my headlights. If the a/c goes out, it takes the headlights with it. But putting the headlights to the "On" position fixes that issue. Any ideas?
 


sounds like youve got a short somewhere man...i was thinkin the blower resistor was bad until i read about the lights....
