Trouble with my Blower Fan for 2001 GTP.

:th_scratchhead: Hey guys, I'm new here... I have a 2001 GTP with a blower fan that does not work. I've checked the fuses and they're fine. I've learned that it could be the resister but that's just a maybe. So here are my problems.
1. How can I check the resister to see if it is working properly and also do I have to remove the fan itself to check the resister?
2. what is the best way to get at the blower fan?, ie. where is it and how do I get to it?
3. I've read about a chip that says I'll get 10% better MPG & 20-40 more HP. This sounds to good to be true. Has anyone here ever installed one of these and what were your results?
Thanks very much for any responses!!!

The chip is a scam.

The blower motor is under the passenger side dash. Pull the kick panel, then it's three screws. Once you pull the blower, likely it's rusted. There's a thread about a water deflector...that someone soon will link for you. Hope that fixes ya up.
