Trouble downshifting when coming to a stop.

Most times I throw it into neutral and it revs up to about 2500 - 3000 rpm then slowly comes back to idle.

When going about 20 mph it wants to go faster all by its self so i have to ride the break. The whole time it seems to be switching gears.

Car has 200k, new plugs n wires recently and drives decently at highway speeds.

Any help would be great, thanks.

Ill add some anyways. When coming to a stop, it seems to wait to long to downshift and kinda jerks when it does. Also if I was to gun it from stop, it will kinda cut out before it get up n goes.

About the 20 mph, when driving threw neighborhoods it seems to be getting gas although im riding the break. It also seems to shift up and down between fuel economy and and downshifting to accelerate.

Could it be a vacuum leak. Maybe not firing on all cylinders??
