Could it be possible to start a trouuble codes section so any information on this area could be put there. It would be easier for anybody getting a code to find what they are looking for to help solve their problem. Just a suggestion to see what everyone thinks.

2001 GTP-Was getting a p0300 misfire code-Car bucking/studdering only at high rpm's- Turned out to be a bad coil pack.


I think it would be a good idea. That way we could have specific info on what it was exactly that was causing the problem in this case, That way it would pertain more to our cars instead of a list of 12 things that usually causes this code to be set.


I myself have access to all the trouble codes available for my car via my tuner. And a scanner to help me aid in finding the problem. Still can't


Maybe a trouble code sticky could be started in the tech section.


I am having a DTC right now and I cant for the life of me figure out what is causing it. Had to brose through the fourms and finially saw someone that had the same problem and am awaiting an answer from them to see if the problem was ever fixed since the post was not updated stating if it was or not.

I wanted to do something similar to this some time ago but I couldnt get much motivation for it so I kinda let it go. But I would love to see some type of troubleshooting database here. You cant make it comprehensive of course but you could make it a very good starting point.
 
How about adding them to the How To section on the board, then if we get alot of them I can move them out to there own section? Kind of like we did with the Cars for sale. Once we got enough of them, we moved them to their own section.

One thing I would ask is that we keep it uniform in the title.....

P0300 - Misfire bla bla

Then in the body of the post put the year and make of the car - symptoms - Fix

Yeah, I would like for us to all settle on some type of template or format to use if we do this as it will make for easier organization and searching. Chris, if you have some ideas hit me up in an email or something when you have time and we can hash out something then put it on the board and see how everyone likes it.
