Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Triton 5.4l

TheOtherNick

The mod from over yonder
Well our family's f-250 developed a miss fire on cylinder 4. I decided to change the plugs figuring they could be no worse than doing them on a 3800. Boy was I wrong. First off it is coil on plug. So I have to remove each coil to get to each plug. The next great thing is you have to remove the fuel rails to get the coils off. So I have been fighting them for about 6 hours over 3 days. I finally get 7 done and have to pull it out of the garage for now so we can park our other car in the spot. Go figure that the one plug I have not done is the cylinder it is missing on. So I still do not know if it is the plugs, coils, injectors etc.. causing the misfire. So I am just pretty pissed right now and am almost ready to send the truck off to some one else to mess with and send a ratchet through a window.

the 5.4 is junk. i hated working on them. get the spark plugs done. How man miles, on it. See any damage on the coil on plugs.

Whats the mileage on it and the year? Use anti-seize when you replaced them? At least the plug didnt break or blow out down the road.

Its a 1997 with like 150,000 miles on it. Got the plugs done and it is still missing. I am taking the coil into town tommorow to have tested.
