Here is another item on my 40th Anniversary GP that is giving me trouble: the trip odometer reset push stick will not work. After getting fuel, I usually push in on the reset lever, and the last time I did so, the trip odometer would not reset the miles to zero. I seems as though it is jammed. All the numbers on the trip odometer are lined up (currently reads 285 miles).
I checked the trip reset stick on the other GP's and they all work as normal. All I need to do is just push in on the stick and the numbers reset to zero.
There are 207,000 miles on the car. I have used the reset stick quite often.
Is something jammed that I can fix by removing the speedometer?
