Hi! I am hoping to get some advice or insight, maybe someone has gone through this or have had to deal with this before. I have an 06 Grand Prix it does have factory remote start, I've been told it could be an issue one place and told it's not at another. A few days ago someone stole the key and key fob to my car. I paid to have it towed to a dealership. They had to reprogram my car so the old key will not work. They cut a new key and said it will not program to the car, he said it will unlock the car, turn everything on, so the cut is right but it won't unlock the system to turn it on. The mechanic starting running diagnostics to figure out the problem. They called yesterday and told me the BCM(Body Control Module) wasn't working right. He replaced that it and the key will still not program. Maybe it's the key that is the issue. He of course told me it wasn't the issue it's something with the car. If you have ever had to deal with this or have any ideas of what it could be let me know and I will pass the message along to them.
