Transmission question

Hey forum,

First off let me say I didn't really know where to put this, but anyway I am getting ready to do some work on my dad's 97 chevy lumina it has a 3100 SFI V6 and I was wondering does anybody know what transmission those have? (4L60E, 4T65E, etc.) And to save you all the trouble of asking I think its got a bad low/reverse shift solenoid because you have to almost try and rock the vehicle back and forth to force it into a gear, once its in gear it drives great.

My guess would be 4T60e.

Check for a vacuum hose coming off around the throttle body and running down infront of the trans to a vacuum module thingy.

Will do, the weather has not been good last couple of days so it will have to wait till the weather gets better.
