I just dumped my piece of crap Sunbird, and got a 1998 GP with 190,000 miles. I'm just curious what other people have experienced and if there is an average life for the transmissions in these things.
 


The average life that I see with these transmissions is in the 80-120K range with normal maintanance. I have seen them fail with under 40K on them and I have seen them with over 250K on them but not too often.
 
wow.. well i hope mine will get me through at least the next 5 years. i start school this fall and need a dependable vehicle.
