Transmission issue

Ok this is my first post on here too. I have an 05 grand prix 3800 and mine is kinda doin the same thing. It drives fine and then at random its like it comes out of gear and just revs up without moving. Then when I come to a stop and try to take off the car shakes like its gonna die but revs up and doesn't move. I actually just finally limped it home and got into my driveway and I couldn't move, I didn't have reverse or drive just reved up. I turned the car off then back on and it shifted itself into every gear. I read to unplug the MAP sensor but I kinda was looking for other possibilities. Thanks.

Tranny fluid has been flushed sense my last post ^^ Its weird cuz it will run perfect for a good hour or 2 then at random it just starts acting up but if I turn the car off then back on it comes out of it. I'd assume its a sensor or something of the sorts cuz if the tranny was toast it would do it all the time. There isn't any noise coming from the car it just won't engage any gears when it acts up.

Sounds like it's electrical, whether that is a soleniod or wiring issue. I'm thinking maybe your pressure soleniod is the issue based on the fact that the manual valve puts fluid to the passages, so even if you cut all electrical except pressure soleniod..I believe you'd end up having third.

Going to link Anthony in for confirmation.

Hmm, I dont think it is electrical. It is weird that it works sometimes but you could completely unplug the transmission connector and the car would still move it would just only have reverse and third. So there isnt normally anything any sensor or solenoid can do that would totally prevent the car from moving. When you say you had the fluid "flushed" do you mean with a with a changing station that draws the old fluid out of the dipstick tube or actually dropped the pan and changed the fluid and filter? If you havent changed it I would still consider a plugged filter as the culprit.
