Transmission in 04 gtp comp G

From what I've read the transmission in this 04comp G has different rear end gears than all other gtp's. And I've read th at only the comp G and one other thing like a Buick rendezvous are only trannys that interchange. Is that correct. I have a 97 Grand prix gt 3.8 and a 03 gtp supercharged 3.8. Won't either of these transmissions work

Both transmission will not be a direct swap.

The 97 is vacuum assisted and could never work anyway.

But you are right, the final gear ratio is different in a COMP G. They have 3.29's instead of the normal 2.93's in nearly all supercharged powered grand prixs, regals.
