Transmission fluid and filter.

So my 02 GP GT has ~145k and it has never had any transmission service, yes I know, bad owner :th_shakinghead1:

However, I figured I might as well try to make up for my past mistakes and go ahead and drop the pan and change the fluid and filter. I've done the work on other cars before, but for this car should that transmission pan gasket still be good or should I go ahead and order a new one from the dealer?

clean the stock gasket with brake cleaner wipe it off reuse it.

clean the pan and magnet real good too. brake cleaner also. buying 2 cans is always the way to go cause one is never enough lol

sh it goes fast lol

Easy way to tell if it's original gasket. It'll have metal in it and ribs on the surface. Wipe clean and reuse that gasket. If it's a thin rubber w/o any rigidity..put the new gasket on it.
