:confused:how hard is it to replace this wiring harness:
CaseCoverBolt2.jpg

I just bought a used tranny with 89K on it and the plug at the top is busted. I can get the part for around 45 bucks, I'm just not sure if there is more to it then it seems. It doesnt look that hard once I take out the bolts to seperate the transmission case.

Hows this for a solution:

4T65E Internal Transmission Harness

Other than that Im not sure what else can be done. I have searched for sources on that connector before and have not come up with anything, so it usually involves buying the whole harness unfortunately. I would also check with Dave Norris aka Trannyman95 as he is the transmission expert here, he can probably help out a whole lot better than I.

thank you synthetic :) I found a place I can get the whole harness for 45 bucks including shipping, I was just curious to know how hard it is to replace it..

I don't think it's bad at all. All the connectors unclip and the connector looks like it has a screw or something holding it in.

I'd be cautious of a used harness. The plastic clips become brittle with heat and age and can crack easily.

we were going to drop it in the car today but realized that the plug was no good lol I cant wait to get my GTP back :( I've been rocking a minivan since the end of January.

no problem :) after all its the least I could do after the knowledge I've gained from this place:th_beer-toast1:
