Transmission axle shaft??? maybe called output shaft.

so i am doing the solenoids on a 2006 grand prix 3.8 sc 4t65e-hd tranny. i have the side case open and i noticed that the shaft that connect to the c/v axle has some play in it.... it this ok or something else really wrong?
i think i attached a pic of it...

Has play left and right and some up and down correct?

That should be normal, as when the CV shaft goes into the tranny it will center it.

Sloppy is normal in these transmissions. You should see the parts behind the case cover aka channel plate before the 4th thingee goes in place. Sloppy mess
