Transmissiom front seal leaking

Fluid just pouring out of the transmission inspection cover, assume it is the front seal has failed. Question pull engine and leave tranny in or leave the engine in and drop the tranny out of the bottom to change out. While I am in there what else could be leaking, do not want to put it back together and still have a leak. your thoughts and experience will be well appreciated. I have swapped motors once and swapped engine and tranny connected once, currently have the 99GTP 3.8 in a 2003 SE body

I'd yank the whole transmission. Inspect the 4th gear hub while it's out, if the teeth are stripping away replace it before it fails you have no more 4th gear.

Not sure if taking the tranny apart is within my skill set, I have always worked on all my cars since 78 but never took a tranny apart, What is the difficulty level. It is the kids car, so do not know how much cash I want to dump into it.

I thought the same things but pulling the side cover really isn't as scary as you think. Better than paying a guy that's going to tell you to rebuild when that's not what the problem is.

You'll have to take the cover off to change he seal anyways.
