Transaxel output shaft bearing and seal replacment

Morning,

About 3-4 months ago I replaced both CV shafts on my '02 GTP due to both boots being torn. Shortly after that I've been having to add a bit (1/4 qt) tranny fluid every 2 weeks or so. From what I can tell it looks like it may be leaking from the passenger side of the transmission right where the CV shaft goes in. Is there a chance I might have damaged the bearing/seal on that side? If so does anyone have any form of a wright-up or how-to on it. The only thing I'm finding is how-to on wheel bearing and the shaft itself.

Any and all help/suggestions/info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Yes. I did the first time I changed mine. Seal costs 8 bucks at a dealership...what kinda car u have? If u got a gxp buy the seal from a dealer all the parts store carries the wrong one

It's a 02 Grand Prix GTP.

Is this a job that can be done with the engine/tranny in the car? I would love to see some kind of a wright up on it. Or at least a few things to look for.

Well I can't find any pics. But its simple. If u changed ur own CV shaft u should be able to do it. A flat head screw driver to pry the old seal out and its kinda a pain to remove but it'll come out.
For installing the new one u can a) rent an actual seal installer or B) use the socket u used for taking the CV shaft nut off to gently tap the new seal into place. The trick is to apply pressure all the way around and tap it in. I used a rubber mallet with the socket to do it
