Hi,
My trans on my 2005 Grand Prix GT takes about 20-30 seconds to shift from 1st to 2nd. Once it does this once it shifts normal and/or hard for the rest of the drive. This seems only to happen after the car has sat for 8 or more hours.
When I take off after the car has sat in goes through 1st gear and then goes to shift into second. This is the point where it takes a while to get to second. It seems to be 100% out of first with no second gear. The motor just free revs. After a while second gear kicks in and I am off. It then will work fine. I have never had any problems after 2nd gear.
No about six months ago it would shift hard from 1st to second on and off. I was going to have the pressure control solenoid. replaced soon, hoever, this started to happen.
Could all of these problems be the Pressure Control solenoid, or is it computer, or a shift solenoid, or something I have not listed.
Any help would be the best, thanks.
