I have a 1995 Grand prix with the 3100 and has 91000 miles. its on its 2nd transmission. The transmission just stopped moving the car at 50000 miles. a rebuilt unit was put in at 50000 miles back in 2002. I have the same problem that people have been mentioning about the transmission not going into overdrive or lock up on the highway sometimes. I also noticed that when I hit 50pm the service enginesoon light will come on then go off..

I just bought a transmission cooler because the cooler lines going to the radiator broke. so i decided to put a cooler just of the trans in.. the trans has 40k miles on it..any suggestions on what it could be?. should I change the fluid and filter because its been 40k since its last service in 2002??. any help is greatly appreciated. my gp is all original and in near mint condition and I want to keep it that way. thanks in advance
