Trans is Leaking fluid and sometimes will not engage

have a problem I'm hoping you all can help me with. So I drove through a lake last night here in Dallas. Had no choice it was super flooded and submerged my car. That part actually was not the problem. It drove through it like a submarine. My problem is that my car is lowered and at one point I had to drive over the median in the road. Scraped the bottom pretty good. I heard it. Anyways car seemed to be ok, except later on when I was driving on the highway at about 5 gear it would act like the plugs were fouled a little. Kinda of stuttering just just a bit, almost barely noticeable, but you know your cars as well as I do so you know when something is different. Anyways it made it home fine so I figured I would let it dry out and see how it performed today.
Got up today drove it, was less noticeable than last night but still there. Got it home and when I went to back up....it would not engage, then it slowly did,....put it in drive, barley engaged but was enough to get it in my garage. That's when I noticed a puddle of fluid on the floor and when I got out it was leaking pretty bad underneath. But I could not tell from where. I jacked up the car, cleaned it off completely, filled it up with 2 qrts of trans fluid....and now it won't leak. Put it in drive and nothing, reverse nothing,......turned off the car....turned it back on, put it in drive...engaged, reverse engaged. What is going on do you think. I don't want to drive it anywhere and it break down on me on the way so really need help. Any ideas will be appreciated. Thank you

Also the Trans Fluid i put in it (The 2 quarts) was Dexron 3. I live in the hood and it is all that was available within walking distance. Figured as long as i just used it to find the leak it wouldnt hurt it any worse than it was. Hope i was right

Dunno without looking. But if it leaked out 2 qts, it will leak again. Patience :) cracked your pan? Maybe small crack since you only lost 2 quarts in a day. Large crack would spill about 7 quarts. Not sure what year yours is, but dexiii should be fine.

There are 2 hard lines that attach to the trans. One of them likely got smacked when you went over the median. I'd check both of those, as well as look at the pan.

Problem is it may still be low since you can't check it with the trans. fully hot, car idling in park.
