searching for answers,i have a 98 gp gt and buying a l67 with harness and computer for 800 and was wondering if i should get a little fun time with my trans until i get a trans together for this?
 


They're more or less the same except the differential. The diff in the non-HD trans is weaker and won't hold up to burnouts very well. Otherwise it'll be fine.

You'll need to get the PCM on the L67 adjusted for the different final drive ratio of the non-HD trans.
 
just do it. ive been beating my transmission like a redheaded stepchild for a good couple years with my l67. its taking it just fine.

no one wheel peels and dont do 3-1 downshifts unless you really dont like your diff and clutches.
