Trans case AN fitting sizes for 04 GTP

I Just want to upgrade to bigger size trans lines from the standalone cooler to the transmission case. Installed a b&m cooler and still seeing 200 degrees on hot days cruising to work . On cold days it's fine (duhhh right lol) the torque converter I had installed in Tep trans wen it locks up and I'm building boost seems to jump up the temp . I try to keep out of it and it takes awhile before it gets to 200 on theses hot days (40 min drive to work)but I would love to only see 180 if possible . don't wanna buy 3rd trans trying to do all I can to prevent the possibility like us all

So just need to know what's the largest size AN fittings I can screw into the trans ?

saw the guy with the gxp post the answer to this before but I guess he took that thread down

Anyone got any reviews on the car tuning deep transmission pan ????

I ran -6 on my Chevy, which seemed about perfect. If you can find the fitting to adapt to -6, that's what I would do.

I've never had one of Kevin's deep pans. I know they had some casting problems early on and stopped production. Not sure if they fixed that. I've had a few of his spacers though that he made before the pan came out. They don't do much for temps though. Their main design is to prevent the pump from sucking the pan dry.

If you don't already have a 180° t-stat, you may want to get one. That makes a nice difference in trans temps by itself.

ok ok that's good!!!! is -6 to -6 to proper size trans rubber lines fine ....im running 1/2 npt to the 3/8 from the cooler with rubber trans lines with clamps to stock trans lines no leaks

I guess what I'm asking is there anything new I should know about with increasing the size of the lines?

I hope they keep making them I'm for anything the will help prevent the failure of our transmissions....

Anyone got input on the orientation of the transcooler ...a guy said to suggested that I should mount my cooler upside down allowing the fluid to stay in there longer to cool . Any input on that? I understand no matter how I mount it the pump will push the fluid through it regardless , but I does seem if you mount it upside down the fluid would be through out the cooler better than side ways or the way I have it ....with the lines entering it bottom ways.
 
Nothing new about increasing the size of the lines. But, just because the line is bigger, doesn't mean you will have more flow.

Mount the cooler any way you want. Keeping the fluid in there longer doesn't help it cool better. The cooling is solely due to the temp differential.
 
For 04 and up guys -6 oring will thread right in. I opted to to do that on my setup but used a -6 oring with a -8 male end on it so I could run 1/2 line. **** it every bit counts.my trans cooler is more like a oil cooler so those lines a4e 1/2 As well. Served me well over the years
