Trannyman...need your advice...

Worthless Troll
I have this weird symptom with my tranny. At around 50 mph i'll be in 4th gear and i'll press the gas down lightly, just far enough for it to kick into 3rd at about 3,000-3,500 RPMs and it feels like it slips a little bit goin into gear. Like when you go to accelerate in 4th gear and it starts to bog so you press it down a little bit more...that's when it does it. Also feels like it kind of pops into gear. It doesn't do it at higher speeds though, or lower speeds. Just between like 47 and 53 mph. This started happening right after i put my custom tuned Overkill PCM in too. Could it be something with the PCM and how the tranny tables have been modified? And another thing...i just found out that one of my cooling lines is leeking and the trans was about 1 pint low on fluid. I did put more fluid in. Have any ideas? Thanks.

So with you stock pcm it didnt do this? I would ask Will about this as he may have changed the 4th gear and TCC enable/dissable speeds and you may just be feeling lockup engage after the shift/downshift. Being just a pint low on trans fluid shouldnt be enough to cause any issues. Often lockup apply feels pretty lazy or smooth after a shift or downshift and feels like the gear isnt completely applied even though it is. Without personally riding in the car it is hard to know exactly what you have going on.

No it didn't do this with my ZZP PCM. Just started happening after i put the overkill in. Someone on clubgp said that the tranny might still be trying to relearn the new tune? I've only had this PCM since saturday.

If it is that recent then I would put more miles on it, especially in town driving as that will help it learn the fastest.
