tranny swap,radiator question

following up on my previous post on the 98 GTP 4T65E HD tranny problem.i have a question being the trannys from my 98 GTP and the 01 GTP are the same,being the only difference is the coolant line fittings.Will i have to replace the radiator in this tranny swap?or,can you buy some fittings to do the swap with?or,will the coolant line fittings off the 01 GTP interchange with the 98 GTP?just wondering thanks.
 


Simplest way would be to get the lines from the 01 GTP along with the trans. The fittings on the radiator side are the same, so nothing needed there.
 
GTP to GTP should be fine.


If both of the transmission cooler lines have screw in fittings on one end then either of the lines will work.


If one of the transmission's lines has the same connectors on both ends of the line then you will need to keep the lines from the new transmission that you are getting for the swap.
