Well I got my tranny replace not rebuild like I wanted. The mechanic said that he replace it with the same year and make. I towed it home and decided to drive it later that day. It shifts so hard that it causes the cd player to skip. And it shifts hard in every gear. The torque converter doesn't lock up. WOT it shifts very smoothly and downshift are smooth also. I hook up my scanner and po730 came up. By the way I have a 01 GTP with 175K miles. Where is the part number on the transmission so I can look it up the see what tranny it is? And if it is the right tranny what can I do to get rid of this code? The scanner I have is a Snap-On Solus Pro. It can do alot of stuff. I'm taking it back on Monday and telling them to fix it. But if I can fix it, it would be great. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciate.

Code P0730 is Incorrect Gear Ratio and this will set if a transmission with a different gear ratio is installed. The only way around this is to reprogram the pcm or have the correct transmission installed with the right gear ratio for your application. Only the supercharged cars came with an overdriven chain drive and driven sprocket combination. A lot of shops think you just swap the HD diff over to another trans and it will work ok but that is not true- unless you have your pcm reprogrammed.
