Tranny removal

Does anyone have step by step instructions for removing a tranny from a '98 GTP? 4th gear is kind of "floating" into gear. I got two quotes from the tranny shop, 1 if they take it out and rebuild and 1 if I take it out and drop it of to them. Just woundering how difficult it is and if I might be able to save a few bucks.....thanks in advance.

simplest form of doing it yourself. I have never done it, but if i were going to attempt to, i would do it this way.

-Jack up car as high as you can get it.
-Drain tranny fluid, and coolant
-remove radiator hoses / transmission hoses / intake piping.
-remove wheels / axles
-unbolt steering rack
-unbolt engine cradle with jackstand/wood holding it up.
-Gently lower engine enough to gain access to the top of the transmission.
-unbolt tranny, pull out, unbolt torque convertor from flexplate
-remove transmission from engine.

install would be in reverse order, and make sure to top off all fluids.

Thats how i would go at it. Im sure you would have to remove the exhaust crossover pipe, but i would rather just pay a shop to do it for me lol. I spent enough time on my last 2 turboed 240sx's for a lifetime of cars.
