Tranny Filter Gasket

I took out the transmission filter & the gasket stayed in the tranny. I tried w/o luck using a screw driver to pry it out. =\

Easiest just to leave it in there, but if you tried a screwdriver already, it's probably damaged, so too late. A seal puller works great, otherwise just keep prying on it and/or grabbing it with a vise grips. Be careful not to damage the case, though.

You have to use a screwdriver and a hammer to beat one side in, collapsing the seal without damaging the case. It can be done and is done every time i change my tranny filter.
