• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Track Story

A 14.3 on a 2.3 60' is going to be something close to a 13.7 on a 2.0 60'. Just getting that 60' to a 2.15 should get you tickling the 13.99 mark.

maybe. i went 14.3 at 98 with a 2.3 60" then 14.1 at 97 with a 2.17 60"

i know its all about 60 foots but i dont think he would have picked up that much. with a 2.0X 60 tho i could deff see 13.9

yea next week ill hopefully have low 13's after my 1.8 rr's, 3.4 pulley, and my tune! i really gotta work on the launch though

what tires are you running, also what psi? those 18's arent helping getting that fat ***** rolling, and another thing, it looks like a 4x4 lower it!!!!!!!!!

yea i know it needs to be lowered, the bullitts always make them look like that. the rims are 17's, tires are sumitomo htr-z's. i think when i take it to the track next time im gonna put the stockers on. i had the fronts at 27...

Like I said, it's possible. Usually I pick up .2 in the quarter for every .1 I drop off my 60'. Every run is different and you don't always see those results if something else happens later on in the run. Like I said, it's just a general rule of thumb everything else being equal.

yeah you want the tire to have less air so it will foot print, not too low to where its flat. it was your first time, i understand you were nervous. luckily she was easy on you and youll be ready for another try soon.....:D

so whats the optimal psi? i heard slicks should be run really low. i didnt really know where to run the street tires at... i ran at the track before in my other gtp i used to have. ran a 14.2 best pass with a 2.1 60'. I. i cant wait til next time though. only thing thats pissin me off is the check engine light thats on now... cars driving fine though

true. and thats how i see it, it just dident work out for me like that. i guess in a perfect senero.

and i wouldent air down street tires all that much. to much and its a rolling resistance then. i cut 2.1 60 on SLICK street tires with no burn out (and slick street tires suck on the track) with about 32 psi.

might wanna try changing your launch.

ha you cant go around??? thats retarted.

Yeah I would tell them to move out of the way...you pay to get in and you should be able to run how you want. I got into it with the guy at the staging lanes b/c he wouldn't move the service truck so I could drive around it...he ended up moving though :th_thumbsup-wink:

yea it sucks the water box is literally right there and its the only way onto the track. unless you wanna bowl through a cement wall of course.

That has got to be the dumbest thing I've ever heard of. Who would design it that way? I'm sure the guys with slicks just love running after street tire cars.
