Towing with a GP GT?

So, the deal is I'm looking to do some track time next year with my bike (2000 SV-650). I was contemplating putting a hitch on the Grand Prix and using a basic trailer to tow the bike. Is this feasible? The car is a 2002 bone stock GP GT. Anyone have any experience with this?
 


You can tow. The limit is 1,000 lbs says the owners manual.

It does say not to tow with a GTP because the extra load may keep the engine at boost levels for a long time, which isn't good. You're N/A so no worries there. Our impala with the 3.8 was used to tow a boat trailer. Never had a boat on it, but things that were heavy like a bunch of logs from a tree we cut down.
