I am looking to either find a stock navi unit for my gxp or upgrade to an aftermarket one if all else fails since they are nearly non-existant! Does anyone have any ideas on what to go with or if there are any other models out there that used the same navi system?
 


well for one dont make multiple threads on same ideas. Two cheaper in the long run to get a aftermarket, mostly cause of price. then if you do find one has to be programmed and most of them were from the vettes and not the grand prix.
 
For 1: I got Twice the information out of you by posting twice... I didnt see this board before I posted on the other one... SO if you dont want to respond twice dont feel the need.
For 2: Thank You greatly for the information I do appriciate your knowledge thanks! I am not really worried about price I suppose I could simply wait around for the one I want... Does it still need to be programmed coming from anouther GXP? also... does the year of the car it came from make a difference?
 
well with the years no, but you prolly will be waiting for awhile. since i got my first gp ive never seen a pontiac nav come up. most ppl i know just get the vet and deal with it. you need it programmed either way you look at with security features. if you want nav you need the antenna, if you want sound you need the amp, with you dont have temp in your car already you need that. theres really alot going on. only easy way to do it is if you have the upgraded monsoon already

Are you going to sell me your personal set up? I'll probably just end up stickin to what I've got. I'm getting the iPhone setup installed. I think that will do me for a while atleast. Thanks for the info and I did check out the link.

Sounds like we're gonna start with wheels, exhaust, and air intake
 
Yeah I didn't have to. It mine, it was option for the car, but yeah I was joking about selling a rare deck
 
I did find this unit its out of an 05 gxp looks brand new from the pics we will see what happens when it shows up.... I do have the monsoon upgrade so just gotta get the antenna and well be good to go i think..... Got it real cheap so... hoping for the best
