Torque mount/strut help

So i've destroyed yet another torque mount dogbone bushing. This would be my 3rd. I just wanna know if theres somebody who has changed out the bushing only, and how hard a task it is. Also any problems i would be coming across if i went this route instead of just buying a new dogbone. (which yes i know would probably be the simplest way of correcting this problem)

3rd.. odd. Have you checked the motor/trans mounts? Maybe they are allowing a lot of movement and killing the upper mount that you are having issues with.

I think you can find the bushings only. ZZP W body store etc.

X2...I bet your lower mounts are trashed.
i've had the car for three years... but i've been overseas for some of that time. i do drive the car VERY aggresively. hopefully it isnt the lower mounts. i replaced the dogbone bushings today. i guess when i change my brake booster out this weekend i'll find out about the lower mounts....

And a few drink breaks...it is always nice to have someone help just incase the mounts don't line up.

Replace the lower engine mount with a solid rubber alternative. I destroyed a cheap hydraulic one in less than 1 year (might be leaking from the front main seal, less than 1 l per 3000 km).

I ended up using a energy suspension polyurethane mustang transmission mount. I drilled out the cradle, and bracket on the car for fitment, and used washers and large nuts as spacers underneath.

ZZP makes a poly engine mount AND a poly transmission mount...

Engine is 150 bucks and the trans is 80...I've got both now.
