Torque management

Hey guys I was wondering what the benefits/negatives of removing torque management will be I currently have an overkill PCM and I want to completely remove torque management with my HP Tuners software. Also is there anyway I can get quicker shifts with HP Tuners or do I need to buy a shift kit?

You can reduce the shift time in the PCM, but you likely wouldnt notice a huge difference and its really not needed.

Removing all of TQ MGNT is not a good idea. It is there to help protect the car unless otherwise built up to handle it.

I hear that removing torque management completely is equivalent to strapping an explosive to it that's set to detonate upon the accelerator being pressed.

:( I don't want to kill my car. Overkill trans **** shifting just aren't exciting anymore. I want a 100% sport feel but not kill it.

You can drop down to .125 on shift times and as stated above on the trans tables don't remove tourqe management but you can always modify TM. I took out about 65% of it on my tune.

I would assume that Will has already done the PCM side of the shifting since OP already has an overkill tune.
