Torque Converter activation?

My 05 GTP started doing this thing where ill keep the throttle steady at about 2000rpm then itll slowly drop to around 1400rpm. Then when I lift off itll blip up then rest down to idle. My mechanic said it was the torque converter activating, but it hasnt done that in the past.

It should have.

When you let off the throttle, the TC unlocks to be read to accelerate etc. When you hit the brakes if you hold the throttle steady your TC should unlock. It sounds normal so far.

Thanks man, it just gets annoying when i need to pass someone and itll activate so i have to dig down deeper to get more power
