ok well, I picked up an L67 from a junkyard out of a 98 bonneville, and I am just finding out there are some differences with the supercharger pulley system and coil brackets. Unfortunately, the pulley system on the engine has broken pullies, and cant find replacements. They want 130 for a new assembly. My question is can I get a newer coil pack bracket with the pullies attached? I was talkin to a guy from the parts department of a pontiac dealer and he said I couldnt because of an extra bracket found on that 98 engine. I dont know if that other bracket will even bolt to the engine in the car i have now! I need some advice here or the engine diagrams so I can see whats different or it anyone knows of a workaround, it would be much appreciated.

why would you need a new coil pack bracket? you can replace the pulley that is on it for like $3.

you need two more idlers and a tensioner. one idler is on the coil pack bracket. one is on a weird cone looking piece. the tensioner goes somewhere around the coil pack bracket.

everything will bolt on, all the blocks are the exact same. the guy from the dealer is a moron.

on top of the GT pullies, you need #3, 8, and 9.

no, I have a single bracket with both the idler and tensioner on it, and the coil pack bracket is separate. this is what my problem is. Can I just swap on the GTP coil pack bracket? are the studs on the heads the same? I can get pics of what I have.

h/o I will get a picture of what I have.

from what I could see, this is supposed to go onto the coil pack bracket, but it was separate, unless there is this bracket, with the two pulleys, and a third on a separate coil pack bracket? Does it matter if I go with a grand prix GTP coil pack bracket or the one from this engine? there is another larger bracket that attaches to the same posts as well on the block. Im kinda lost here. I will get pics of the other part unless you know what it is.

you need the GTP coil pack bracket because it has the coils, an idler, and a place to mount the tensioner. there is another idler that is on an extension sort of piece to space it out from the block. they all mount in the same spot because everything about the blocks is the same minus the bottom end goods.
