Tips on getting the new transmission filter in?



leave the old seal unless it falls out by itself otherwise your going to f it up and have no choice but to cut it out and replace it...
 


I just used the palm of my hand and the bottom of my fist when i did my shift kit.Went in after a couple dozen bangs lol.
 
I don't think I have ever had to "hit" a filter into place. Just make sure it is lined up correctly and steady pressure and it slips right in.
 
make sure the neck is going in straight, if you have it tilted it wont go in. i also find it easier to do if you take the old seal out as long as the new filter came with one. use a flat head and a hammer to bend the old one inwards and it will come out easy.
