I tinted my tail lights too dark and i need to get it off and im having a really hard time removing the ****, im thinking of just taking some tail lights off a car at the junkyard because its so much damn work lol any suggestions to get it off easier?

i never used a clearcoat over them but theres a thick coating of that **** on there haha and its really time consuming ive noticed

i just tinted mine today, the key is prep surface really good, and do LIGHT coats, fist coat should really just be a mist nothing more.

i prefer to layer up like 3 coats, then wet sand back down until im happy with it, i prefer light tint over the more common "black spray paint" lol

seen a post where a guy used brake cleaner, took the tint right off.

next time do light coats. 3 tops, 2 will make it kinda cherry looking. clear coat then wet sanding makes it all pop, unless you like the matte finish.

pics of 2 coats in my sig down there.

2 coats of tint, 5 coats of clear, wet sanded, and hand buffed. i love this shot, like a mirror you could say.

3 light coats, wet sanded down to 2ish, 6 coats of clear, wet 3000 sand, hand polish, no wax yet

camera moved, looks WAY better in person

Sanding is going to take you longer. Being that you haven't cleared them. Use one of the products that we recommended first then sand. Tint, sand, tint, sand, clear coat, sand, clear coat, sand, compound and polish.

The key is prep as well as wetsanding between coat and you'll have some awesome taillights.

alright, and ive never tried taking them out just left them on the car and didnt really check inside the trunk to see what i need to get them out?
