Time for some new 5.25" door speakers.

Car is a 2000 GTP with the factory BOSE. The driver side speaker rattles pretty bad at times. Not to mention you can't even hardly hear them anymore after adding two Fosgate P3's. Any recommendations on a set of quality 5.25" speakers?

I don't really have a budget in mind. I just want some really good replacements. I'm not wanting to spend $800 on a set of Focals though lol. Also would it be worth it to power them with an aftermarket amp or will the factory BOSE amp do good enough? Thanks

Edit* Also, would you guys recommend getting a component set with the crossovers or would a set of standard coaxials be good enough?

Pioneer DEH-80PRS Head Unit
Kicker IX500.4 Amp
1/0 line to trunk
Boston Acoustic Separates
Infinity Kappa 330W 693.9
all speakers rewired to amp

Dont even need a sub as the amp drives the Kappas deep. The DEH is perfect too if you like music. Lol

Not nearly enough to worry about if you buy decent speakers.

From what I remember its like 20-30 RMS. Some high end head units have more RMS at X4 than the Bose amp does.

As for front speakers. If you want component speakers, infinity kappa is a great buy.

I love the Kappa's on my deck... They are a really good speaker for the price, K&N sale even better. Would definitely buy again and is why I recommended them too ; )
