Tie Rod End Replacement

Anyone have some general instructions on how to replace the front driver's side tie rod end? I've replaced the CV axle, struts, wheel hub/bearing and brakes. Never touched one of these though and I'm not exactly sure how it goes.

Using whatever size large wrench, loosen the nut that locks the end to the tie rod. All you need to do is loosen 1/4 turn or so to unlock. Don't spin it all the way back.

Remove cotter from tie rod end at knuckle if one exists. Remove tie rod end nut. Remove end from knuckle (usually a hammer hit frees it), now spin the old tie rod end off, counting the turns.

Put new end on the same number of turns, put it into knuckle and if needed hit it down to seat it and get the nut on with new cotter. Tighten nut on rod to end to lock it in place.

Get alignment.
