ticking noise

Im hearing this ticking noise when im on the throttle. The car runs fine, and im seeing around 19 mpg. i know this isnt the greatest description, but any ideas? Also Im throwing an EGR code, could this be a contributer?

When you hear tick under load (pressing on gas pedal) Thats an exhaust leak.

thats what i thought. I just thought that maybe since im throwing an EGR code, that may be my problem. Thanks for the help :th_thumbsup-wink:

yea that'll do it, when you get the leak fixed the code will go away

so the ticking is the EGR or no? lol im confused. I can find out at school, but were done for 3 weeks

no, the exhaust leak is causing the computer to throw a egr code, the egr is fine, once the leak is fixed the egr code will go away
