Ok I finally decided to clean my throttle body and maf sensor and i now I'm having issues with the car starting. I reassembled the throttle body and the cable for the throttle but it keeps popping off and now the throttle area is leaking coolant and car won't start anymore. Any help? Ideas?

can you post a picture??

ok as for the leak im thinkin a new gasket for the tb is needed?? and for the cable.. did you happen to crimp the line under the bar coming across the motor.. i did that too

Ok I installed a new gasket and as far as the crimping it's possible but I don't think I did. Also it was smoking from the exhaust as well

what did you use to clean it? and you may wanna list step by step how u did it so everyone can get a better understanding

Ok I used the crc throttle body cleaner and the crc cleaner for maf sensor.
I followed the steps in the how to guide for the throttle body cleaning

wow.. beats me man.. im trying to think only thing i can advise is to search these threads for tb problems.. im sure you probably have but still just throwing it out there... or check all the hoeses and sensors

I sprayed the maf sensor with the cleaner and cleaned the throttle body with a wire brush a rag and the cleaned It with the throttle cleaner

i put one on backwards.. and crunk my car.. it reved up to 2500 rpm.. and i also left the vacuum line loose and my trans wouldnt shift

If your leaking coolant at the throttle body then it did not seal right. Try taking it off again and make sure it reseals properly when you go back to reinstalling it.
