Throttle body evap harness removal?

How do I remove the vacuum line that runs from the throttle body over to the canister in front of the manifold? It looks like it has a quick fitting or something.

I have a tear in the rubber fitting that attaches to the TB. Can I just replace this rubber part or does it not come off the 2 lines attached to it? The GM part number is for this is 24506671 if you want to google a pic to know what I'm referring to.

it's like a rubber type fitting that slips over a nipple on the tb and has 2 vacuum lines running away from it. one goes to FPR and other goes to evap canister thingy.

the vac line that goes onto the canister looks like a quick disconnect? can i use pliers?

if you take the evap vacuum line off then it will set a code. could set any of the 10ish or so evap codes in the P0440 range. what you need to do is unplug the electrical connector off the evap purge solenoid, take the vacuum line and plug it, then take the vacuum line off the throttle body, put a plastic cap over it, and on the other end of the vacuum line, you can take a screw to plug it off. on the evap purge solenoid, I couldn't find a good way to plug the quick disconnect line, so I just filled it with rtv.

hes looking to repair it.......

if you have a advance auto near by go there, they got a wall of vac t's and Y's and most any plastic connectors you'll need for very cheap, they also sell new vac line for like a buck a foot.

that fat line pulls right off the tb, cut the two lines after the Y, now buy a new Y and some new line to splice them to the hard lines, and a new fat line to the Y, you can push the smaller vac line inside the fat line to make a seal.

my old evap set up on my l67, same tb port, it just goes to the back side. smaller line pushed inside the fat line to a hard line. you would put the Y there, then a 2 inch piece of vac line off the Y to the hard lines.
