Thread tagging question

I tried to tag a new thread for the first time this morning.

I got the following error....

1. You specified a tag that was too long. A tag can only be 3 characters.

Am I only supposed to enter the first three letters of a word? Seems like a lot of things could have the same first three letters and not make this very efficient.

I had no problem creating an 14 letter long tag. Might want to try again.
