Bout to order the SLP power flow, just wondering if anyone had any thoughts on it...raspy?..Hard to install?...Gains?...how well it fits??

bad:th_thumb-down:

I've got the powerflo catback on my Monte LS. I also have S&S headers. Here's a sound clip. I have a 3400 in the LS so it probably sounds a little different.

i just ordered those too and alot of people i talked to likes the sound and say its easy,a direct replacement with stock.i can't wait till they come!

I have them on my SLP GTX setup as well. I would recommend them. Even without a resonator, they have some of the lowest cabin droan of any muffler/catback package out there. And the price point, you simply cant beat it. Just be sure to order them with the slash/trapezoid tips.

Don't know about that low cabin drone. My Impala SS with Powerflos can get very annoying after a while. They are mated to TOG headers and a hi flo cat, but sometimes I'm tempted to get a resonator.

would this exaust bolt up to the stock headers/downpipe, or would i have to get aftermarket headers/downpipe?

They bolt up fine to the stock downpipe.

My drone was pretty bad even before I installed the headers. Then after a few months, I chopped the exhaust and put in a Vibrant resonator. It's much more tolerable now.

Since the Impala is not my daily driver, I can deal with it. But now with 3 children, the Impala is the family car so I'm driving it more. I might have to sell my pickup truck and get something bigger. No mini van, though...

jeep commander is nice.

I don't want to get something with WORSE gas mileage. I've been looking/thinking about the Ford Freestyle/Taurus X. Seating for 7. I'm not a new car person; I' more than happy buying used. I've told my wife in 2011 or 2012 we'll get a G8 GXP.

I might have been able to convince myself to get a Transport if it was made with a 3800 Series II engine. But then I realized. It's still a mini-van, even if Patrick Stewart tries selling it to me.
