Thought of a new idea for my system

Since my GP has the door mounted tweeters that are located up by the mirrors I was wondering if it would be worth it to swap those out with something a little nicer. As of right now I can only hear very very little sound coming out of the stock ones so I think something is wrong with it. If it's not worth it to replace the tweeters is there a way to remove the tweeter housing? I find it kind of ugly if it doesn't serve a point. If I were going to swap the tweeters out to something that sounded good should I forget about coaxial speakers and get a mid-range speaker to put in my door panel plus a sub? Would that sound better than getting a coaxial speaker in my door panel with a sub? Also, sorry about all the threads, I'm so lost as to what to do lol

get yourself a set of good component speakers, they have a separate tweeter and woofer with a separate crossover, very easy to install

Simbah is correct. You could also run coaxials in the doors as well as upgraded tweets in the sail panels, although I imagine the highs may become a little bright with that tweeter to mid ratio. Are your interior speakers amplified?

I would definitely look into amplifying the speakers at the time of replacement. Personally, I really like the Polk DB components and 6x9s. You don't need a crazy or expensive amplifier to run your interior speakers... the Audiopipe Apsm4050 is like 90 bucks on amazon, and will be a drastic improvement to a non-amplified system.
