Wow! Guess this is quite a common problem w/ 03 Pontiac GP...Any year for that matter...lol
Any help would be great! I love cars never worked on one but im going to give it a shot! Found a step by step even w/ pictures on here of replaceing the fuel pump...Looks simple enough, haha...:o

Checked all fuses all I notice is a #10 where a 18 should be? Does this matter. Been riding like this for 3 years I guess?? Checked relays they look fine I guess the 2 areas where they look like melted drops is normal because they are all like that....:th_question1:

Cant find the fuel filter? Anyone here that can tell me where its located?
Also i hear no noise when turning the key and listening under the car for pump... So im guessing its the pump..

I do hear noises comming from a silver cylinder shaped part under the hood w/ #'s on the top( 2564563) of it, for a few seconds when i turn the key. Also has a black plud comming out of it w/ 1 red wired and 3 gray...I WOULD LOVE to know what this part is but cant find an illistration of parts under the hood on the internet. I can upload a pic. but I dont see a upload icon on this page. Really need to know what this part is... Any help would be sooooo appreciated!

Thanks every1 in advance:( I miss driveing!!!

ps Found the uploader, can ya see the pic? =)
naturally it failed.....:th_angry2:

The fuel filter on my 01 GP is located underneath the car on the drivers side frame rail sort of between the front and rear drivers side doors, more towards the rear door. Below is a picture of a similar vehicle and location with the filter removed, hope this helps?

It does help so much!
Thank you =) I think I found it , well I did. But its not that simple w/ a line comming from each end.. I still think I can do it. Im trying to upload a pic of the part under my hood making the nioce. But it says failed again?? I even made it small =(

If my car wont start should i replace the filter befor the pump if the pump is not making any noise? Or should I just do both? Or go straight to the pump?
Sorry still new to this I dont even know if I put my message in the right place as I have only had your responce and a welcome responce...

Thanks agin!! Very helpful...

You have had the car for 3 years? If so, and you have never changed the fule filter, do it anyways. And your problem might be with the fule pump regulator, not the pump. I havent had this issue so far, so thats about all I can tell you about it, but I'm sure sombody on here can walk you thru it. good luck

Thank you so much!
Do you know where the regulator is located by chance?
Also ill start googleing it =)

I appreciate your helpful reply !!
