Thinking of starting another turbo build

It's been about 6 years since my last turbo 3800 which I had to get rid of and now thinking of getting another monte 3800 but can't decide if I should get a l36 for the higher compression so I wouldn't need to run high boost or if I should get the l67 version

I'm wondering if any of you can chime in and let me know how much boost you guys run on a l36
