Theft System Not Programmed............????

Hello everyone,

I just applied to this forum about 30 min ago, and I have found many helpful solutions to the current problems I am having with my 05 GP GT. However, i did not find anyone else who has this problem...can anyone help?

Here is the problem...I bought the car 4 months ago and I bought it with the alert display saying "Theft System Not Programmed" I looked in the Pontiac manual and it showed how to correct the problem. Well...I did what it told me, and it did not work...Still says the same thing...I described the problem to a GM mechanic and he told me that my car shouldn't even be able to turn on with that warning...wtf??? Anybody had this before and able to help get rid of this problem? Oh...before someone asks...My remote lock works...alarm works...alarm goes off at the right times...wth? If everything works...Why is it saying "Theft System Not Programed"?

Did you find a solution to this? My car started showing this on the weekend, although it still turns on/runs fine. It just prompts on the DIC everytime the car starts.

No...I haven't figured out the solution to it yet....if you end up finding out a solution...please let me know...its been exactly a year since it has been like this...its quite frankly annoying...
