Abstract:
This will be an ongoing and updated list of mods for my 2004 Grand Prix GT. I've decided to [STRIKE]not[/STRIKE] go all out on it like originally planned [STRIKE]due to my picking up a G8 GXP 6spd manual in the spring/summer of '13 (if I can get financing). Instead I will be doing moderate modding to keep me going fast and sounding good all year round. Boosh.[/STRIKE] I bought a CBR600RR instead of a G8. Boosh.

History:

June 2009: Picked her up with 111,919 on the dash. Bone stock. Unfortunately no pics.

January 2010: 7 months after the purchase, pictures are taken after a car wash to rid her of the evil Minnesota salt. Still stock as can be.

June 2010: Back when she was new to the mod game with a set of regular black grilles from the stock SPO chromies.

September 2010: Photo op! Car wash + hand scrub all around + nobody home to b*tch about me parking my car on the lawn = pictures of car being very very clean.

LowAngleLevels.jpg

October 2010: Lighted cupholder project pisses me off for a few days, but finally sees completion.

DSCN1275.jpg

December 2010: Disaster strikes - ice plus a ton of nice soft snow cause unrecoverable fishtailing, and a nice big hunk of damage to the Prix. Oops. That's what full coverage is for :D

January 2011: Clear sidemarkers are done to match the switchbacks that were installed somewhere back in time.

2011-01-09230712.jpg

January 2011: 6000k 35w HIDs! And the goal of projectors is born.

2011-01-31000730.jpg

February 2011: Black LED tails are purchased and installed for maximum reduction of exterior color. Grayscale is where it's at bishes.

May 2011: Debadge -- took until October to get pics because I'm lazy.

March 2013: TEH BREMBZ. For maximum stop.

Re: The Money Pit

Once I get a new camera I will take more, the one I've been using has a 100% broken screen and no viewfinder. Hopefully I'll be able to get some epic winter shots.

Re: The Money Pit

I would love tinted windows, but they're super strict on that here in MN. And I think they're trying to abolish them completely, making them illegal.

Re: The Money Pit

yea i used to live in MN, u can only have max 50% all the way around. If your looking for some black leather seats i have some forsale. LMK

Re: The Money Pit

To my understanding the current max is 30% tint (70% visibility).

And I really can't afford to buy seats right now, though I wish I did have the money. Are the fronts heated?

I just double checked, Mike seems to be correct, it is 50% in MN. Here in WI the law is not much better, after a little research last year I went 30% on all four doors and the rear window. Even though 30% is actually slightly illegal, the shop wanted me to go 15%. Not wanting to be harassed guided my choice. However the tint doesn’t really look cool until dusk. It does help a lot with the summer heat, the interior temps seem much more moderated. I can only imagine how weak sauce 50% would be.:th_frowning:

Re: The Money Pit

grey scale is where it is at dude...so much agreeing...although soon im gonna go with some black light interior lights and some 8000k HIDs

Re: The Money Pit

I got my HID's from carid.com for 99.99 shipped to my door I got the 5,000 diamond white lights if your interested. I hope you get more positive then negative in your thread. Nice car bro. No wonder you stay negative in my post that minnesota'r salt must be chaffing your ass!

Re: The Money Pit

I've had HIDs in my car for months now...

35w 6000k from DDM to be exact. Work like a charm and heat up in just a few seconds.
