The key reminder buzzer keeps going off

I have an 1998 grand prix and the key in the ignition buzzeris going off with the key out of the ignition with the driver’s door opened I know it’s the key reminder because the doors will not lock with the door open is there any easy fix or what could be the problem

try moving the ignition key around it should go off

theres a little button inside the lock, sounds like it sticking. try some graphite lock spray. work the key in and out a few times as well on off on off. work the spray in good.

its a powder spray, no need to worry about liquid.

I have tried to moving the key around it just doesn't go away I have taken the lock cylinder out and cleaned it up and put back in and its still going off

the little white part on the back of the tumbler, the one you pull the lock tab and turn to remove. im pretty sure thats the buzzer button.

This is what mine looks like I have replace the key tumblerand it didn’t help any

that white sensor on the back side the little one you turn to get off im not 100% sure but all that has is a button on the end, that maybe the dinger.
