• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

F'in thing eats maybe a qt of oil every 2k mi., so I check it on the regular. Last week, I pulled the stick while filling up the dollar tank at $hell, and... um it's dry? *wipes*, *shoves back in*, *still dry*.

:th_scratchhead:

Added a quart out of the 5qt oil change jug in the trunk. Back on the stick but still low. Added another quart. Center Hatch.
I thought Damn, I just checked that last week. WTF? Ate 2 quarts? It had been stable in level for a month. Maybe burned a 1/2 qt or something. Woops. WTF ? I guess I'll see what happens...*drives home*

Checked it later that day....Center hatch. *Ok, no huge leak* which I knew because the bottom of the car is dry and dusty as usual.

Next day, check stick. Almost 2 quarts OVERFULL. It's to the Twist in the stick, as overfilled as off the bottom of the stick is under. About a full inch above the top of the Hatch-marks.. Oil is not dirty, or milked like it got filled with coolant or water.... ..and it still right there today, 6 days later.

:th_wtf:

I know a little bit, and I know that's odd. Never heard of it.

Anyone? Anything? I know These 5.3's have odd baffles in the pan but that's not gonna change the oil level sitting flat level...
