Temperature gauge reading hot!

Just replaced the temperature sending unit, and thermostat, refilled and bled the cooling system and now the temp gauge reads about 240 degrees.
My OBDII shows the temperature is about 192 degrees, that is what the thermostat is set at.
It was read about 190 degrees before I started working on it.
Does anyone have any ideas?

bad temp sensor... wouldn't be the first time someone got a bad one from the parts store. In most cases the PCM uses a diffrent sensor then the guage sensor...
